Egyptian Expo & Convention Authority (EECA) The Egyptian Expo & Convention Authority (EECA) is the official governmental body responsible for the organization, management, and hosting of exhibitions and conferences within the Arab Republic of Egypt and internationally. The Authority was established in 1956 under Presidential Decree No. 323, and its structure and mandate have evolved through several stages, culminating in the merger with the Cairo International Convention Center in 2008, followed by comprehensive reorganization pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 345 of 2009, under its current designation. The Authority implements the State’s policies aimed at supporting and stimulating domestic and international trade by organizing specialized exhibitions and issuing licenses to entities and companies operating in this field. It further represents Egypt in international exhibitions, and may independently organize exhibitions abroad to promote Egyptian products and enhance their global competitiveness. Additionally, the Authority manages and operates major exhibition and conference facilities, including conference halls and exhibition pavilions located in Nasr City, in accordance with the highest technical standards. Through these efforts, EECA reinforces Egypt’s position as a leading regional hub for hosting international economic events and serves as a key contributor to national strategies for export development and investment promotion.
